​Graphene, Quantum and the Human Brain: put it together and, what do you get? Deep Tech EU. The most ambitious EU research initiatives showcase innovations at Deep Tech EU in MWC Barcelona.

European Commission funded research project, the Graphene Flagship, will demonstrate a selection of the project’s most exciting innovations at the Science is Wonderful exhibition in Brussels, Belgium, on 25 and 26 September 2019. The free exhibition, held at Tour & Taxis, a redeveloped industrial space in Brussels, is part of the European Research and Innovation Days and aims to bring a world of science and technology to the general public.

Four companies associated to the Graphene Flagship exhibited their prototypes, commercial products and live demos at the Graphene Pavilion at Mobile World Congress on February 25-28 in Barcelona, Spain.

Director General of DG CONNECT at the European Commission, Roberto Viola, visited the Graphene Pavilion at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 this morning. In a meeting with the director of the Graphene Flagship, Jari Kinaret, he discovered the ways in which graphene will enable better connectivity.

In the image above one of the demonstrators on display at MEDICA, from Graphene Flagship partner Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2), will be a retinal implant which can serve as optical prostheses for people who have lost their sight.

The Graphene Connect meeting, From Datacom to IoT, was held on 2 March 2017 at Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, alongside the Graphene Experience Zone, with sessions on data communications, flexible electronics and sensors.

The cutting-edge prototypes and demonstrators from Graphene Flagship Partners and Associate Members showcased in the Graphene Experience Zone made a fantastic impact on Mobile World Congress, the global technology community’s largest event.
