Short CV: 
Eleanor Campbell holds the Chair of Physical Chemistry and is currently Head of the School of Chemistry at Edinburgh University. She previously had the Chair of Atomic and Molecular Physics at Gothenburg University in Sweden (1998-2007) and prior to that was a Department Head at the Max Born Institute in Berlin, Germany (1992-1998). She graduated from Edinburgh University in 1982 with a first class honours degree in Chemical Physics followed by a PhD in 1985. Her research interests span fundamental spectroscopic and dynamical studies of large molecules, fullerenes and atomic clusters, growth, manipulation, chemistry and electromechanical properties of carbon nanotubes and nanoelectromechanical devices based on graphene. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of London, a Corresponding Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and a Foreign Member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Science. She has served on the Editorial Boards of Applied Physics A and European Physical Journal D and is currently on the Boards of Chemical Physics Letters and Nano and on the Editorial Advisory Board of Materials Express. She serves on the Scientific Advisory Board of the NT series of conferences and was Chairman of the NT05 meeting held in Gothenburg, Sweden and a member of the organising committee for NT11 held in Cambridge, UK. She has published over 250 papers with over 5600 citations (h=41).
