Thomas Mueller received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Vienna University of Technology, Austria, in 2001 and 2004, respectively. In 2007, he joined the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, USA, where he has worked on carbon-based electronics. His research at IBM focused on photodetection in graphene and light emission from carbon nanotubes. End of 2009, he returned to Vienna, where his current work is directed towards graphene-based optoelectronic devices. Thomas Mueller authored and co-authored 50 peer-reviewed publications in international scientific journals.
